LOVE tour

Symphony of Hearts is a large-scale project and a powerful polyrhythmic movement pulsating with Afro-contemporary choreographic gestures, live music and song. From 2022-2024, the work was supported by three presenters and co-producers: Danse Danse (Montreal), the National Arts Centre (Ottawa) and LAC Lugano arte e cultura (Switzerland) and two heart institutes (Montréal and Lugano). Symphony of Hearts deploys this alliance of arts and sciences to address the beauty and vulnerabilities of the heart and cardiovascular system. More than 5500 people saw this show in 2024. Will you be part of the next phase ?

The LOVE TOUR : what is it?

Inspired by the whole Symphony of Hearts experience, the LOVE TOUR is an even more audacious emblematic project, building on the high level of notoriety it has garnered, which will require the collaboration of 5 co-producers, 5 heart institutes and 5 presenters.

RD Créations is looking for heartfelt collaborations. Presenters, co-producers interested in developing with us the idea of uniting for a cause greater than ourselves, through Symphony of Hearts. The LOVE tour brings together 3 types of partner:

  • an interested co-producer who believes in the project and the show ;
  • a hospital or cardiology center (or a university with a department of medicine) that believes in developing the art-science link ;
  • a venue interested in collaborating with a hospital (and in innovating).

The LOVE TOUR : Why ?

The LOVE tour would be the first in the world to place science and dance at the heart of a unifying social operation that would inspire hope in what are unfortunately dark times for many. By creating new alliances between different sectors that don't usually collaborate, the LOVE tour reaches out to a wider public, and responds to the lack of audiences in concert halls.

SYMPHONY OF HEARTS ON TOUR :

  • 7 performers
  • 1 musician
  • 1 soundtrack
  • 14 people on tour

« It's a decolonial encounter because the orchestra works with rhythmic, written classical scores, and we don't stray from that. Afro-contemporary language requires structured freedom in an auditory score. We had to bring different languages together. I worked as much, if not more, on the music as on the choreography. » LE DROIT (Canada)

« What is achieved here, in this Symphony of Hearts, is an art of influences and kindness carried by the multiple identities of bodies and minds that want peace. » REVUE JEU (Canada)
