Choreographic-documentary laboratory

The Laboratory is an incubation phase that determines the type of commitment the RD Créations team will bring to the subject. Lasting from 1 to 3 years, this more secretive stage is an opportunity to win over partners before the project becomes public knowledge. Built up in stages, like an R&D project, it undergoes an analytical process at every stage to optimize the commitment of each resource and the intervention of the best people at the right time. Laboratory in progress :
SCÒ: 36h of creation ;
KOSA: start May 2025

In our living laboratory, all our artistic collaborators immerse themselves in real-life narratives to create a polyrhythmic, narrative gestural language, giving rise to an original Afro-contemporary body language. An innovative process, it places dance in a profound dialogue with society, exploring universal themes through a documentary and sensory approach. Through a dialogue between transmission and interpretation, it fashions a human choreographic language, where each movement becomes a living trace of profound stories.

This methodology places culture at the center of a collective dynamic, proposing a sustainable and inclusive model.

First incubated project in February 2025 : SCÒ

SCÒ will explore physical and social tensions and twists, drawing parallels between the diagnosis of scoliosis in adolescents, the role of caregivers, and the perpetual social adaptations to which human beings are forced. After 36 hours of intensive work in our laboratory, we have produced the first 15 minutes of this performance. These minutes lay the foundations for a choreographic exploration that goes far beyond mere performance. They weave a corporeal narrative that speaks of resilience, inner strength and beauty in the face of adversity.

Second incubated project in May 2025 : KÒSA

KÒSA will address the gravity of the body through thanatology, theology and astrophysics, questioning our fascination and fears in the face of a universal and intimate subject: death. For the first time, children's testimonies will be combined with those of specialists.

This research will be brought to life through an immersive choreographic composition integrating music, set design, lighting and video.

“My wish is to make the invisible audible through the power of art, weaving together knowledge, cultures and the complexities of our society”, Rhodnie Désir.
